Office of Postdoctoral Affairs
The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs oversees the management and recruitment of the postdoctoral employees. Its main duties include: 1. Formulate regulations and policies regarding the management of postdoctoral affairs across the University. 2. Advance the application, management, and evaluation of newly-established postdoctoral mobile stations under the postdoctoral fellowship programs. 3. Handle the inbound and outbound procedures for postdoctoral fellows, including the contract signing of the relevant agreements. 4. Provide assistance for doctoral research programs, including manage daily affairs, supervise the completion of the proposals, conduct mid-term reviews, and perform outbound evaluations. 5. Coordinate matters related to housing arrangements and logistical support, and other benefits for postdoctoral employees upon their admission. 6. Monitor the use of funds allocated to postdoctoral fellows and organize them to apply for grants in scientific research. 7. Manage the archives of postdoctoral fellows. 8. Facilitate collaboration with industry-based workstations, and handle the inbound and outbound procedures for industrial postdoctoral fellows, including the contract signing of the relevant agreements. 9. Stay informed of the guidelines from higher authorities regarding postdoctoral management, and encourage postdoctoral fellows to pursue local entrepreneurial ventures. 10. Issue certificates within the scope of the office's function 11. Collect, register, file, and archive documents for the office. 12. Undertake the office's targeted assessment tasks. 13. Complete other tasks assigned by superior authorities.
